European Sectoral Social Partners In Commerce To Renew Focus On The Digital And Green Transition

EuroCommerce and UNI Europa, the European sectoral social partners in commerce, have agreed on their joint work programme for the period 2024-2025. Commerce is a sector in transition. Transition brings many challenges that need to be addressed, but likewise offers opportunities. For the period 2024-2025, the European sectoral social partners in their work programme have committed to reinforce their joint work on the challenges and opportunities the digital and green transition present, including capacity building, health and safety, and continued dialogue on EU policies.

Twin transition: The joint work programme focuses on the challenges and opportunities of the digital and green transition for the commerce sector, and calls for EU policies that support its competitiveness and resilience.

Skills and training: The joint work programme also emphasizes the importance of upskilling and reskilling commerce workers, and announces several initiatives to create new job profiles and vocational training programmes for the sector.
